The 12th annual Poetry & Arts Festival celebrates RS Thomas & ME Eldridge in the Welsh coastal village of Aberdaron where he was vicar and she an artist.
The first festival was held in 2014. Since then we have been honoured to welcome distinguished speakers from the United Kingdom and the United States, including our patron Rowan Williams, the former Archbishop of Canterbury. The festival has sponsored fresh expressions of the poetry and art for new audiences. Our festival location in Aberdaron on the Llŷn Peninsula enables people to experience first-hand the landscapes that inspired the poetry of Thomas and the art of Eldridge.

The Annual Festival in Aberdaron is now managed by the RS Thomas & ME Eldridge Society in its mission to bring together people with an appreciation of the literary and artistic works, musical compositons, people and places associated with RS Thomas and ME Eldridge.

Bydd 12fed Gŵyl flynyddol o Farddoniaeth a Chelf yn dathlu RS Thomas ac ME Eldridge yn cael ei chynnal yn Aberdaron, y pentref ym mhen draw Llŷn ble roedd ef yn ficer a hithau’n arlunydd.

Yn 2014 y cynhaliwyd yr ŵyl gyntaf. Ers hynny mae wedi bod yn fraint croesawu siaradwyr enwog o’r Deyrnas Unedig a’r Unol Daleithiau, gan gynnwys ein noddwr Rowan Williams, cyn Archesgob Caergaint. Mae’r ŵyl wedi noddi mynegi barddoniaeth a chelf ar eu newydd wedd ar gyfer cynulleidfaoedd newydd. Gyda’r ŵyl yn cael ei chynnal yn Aberdaron ym Mhen Llŷn, bydd pobl yn cael eu blas eu hunain ar y tirweddau a fu’n ysbrydoli barddoniaeth Thomas a chelf Eldridge. Erbyn hyn mae’r Ŵyl yn cael ei rheoli gan Gymdeithas RS Thomas & ME Eldridge ac mae’n rhan allweddol o’i chenhadaeth i ddod â phobl ynghyd sy’n gwerthfawrogi’r gweithiau llenyddol ac artistig, y cyfansoddiadau cerddorol a’r bobl a lleoedd sy’n gysylltiedig ag RS Thomas ac ME Eldridge.
